HTC Desire HD – How to Root

How to root HTC Desire HD :

To root HTC Desire HD, the simplest way is by using Visionary. Visionary is able to perform temporary root and also perma-root. Take note that Visionary no longer works on HTC’s Android 2.2.1 build for now (Visionary R14). It works fine for all base below 1.72 which is all Android 2.1 base.

Steps :

(step 1->3 to temp root)

(step 1-> for permanent root)

1. Install Visionary, it can be obtained via this mediafire link

2. Run Visionary and click on temporary root (temp root) – MAKE SURE USB DEBUGGING IS ENABLED

3. Your device is now rooted with temporary root! Congratulation woots!!! but it the root will dissapear after the phone reboots.

4. Open Visionary and tap temproot, then attempt permroot now. Your device will reboot.

5. To perma root the device, step 4 must be completed and now you can continue by tapping Permaroot (permanent root)

6. The device will now restart

7. Done, you have now permanent root on your device

How to unroot HTC Desire HD?

- Unrooting can simply be done via clicking unroot in Visionary.
