Well have you seen a UI better than MIUI?

Up till this day (4th Dec 2010), MIUI rocks the throne of being the best UI on a mobile device.. simple, smart, flexible, customizable and awesome with all the elements combined from iOS and Android awesomeness. Have a look,

Tweetdeck VS Touiteur – Android twitter client rumble

Tweetdeck has been very well known for being one of the best twitter client for PC, iOS and etc. After the long wait, tweetdeck for Android finally arrives. It is still under beta but everything seems very promising.

Tweetdeck will be the direct competitor to Touiteur in my honest opinion. Both seems very good and serves me well indeed. Since tweetdeck is still under beta stage, I cant do much of a comparison between these two. Perhaps ill come back and do a review once Tweetdeck escaped from beta stage.

From what I’m seeing here, Touiteur has a premium version which includes auto link shortening functionality (link shrinking ). Tweetdeck beta on the other hand does this automatically. We still do not know either there would be a premium version of Tweetdeck or not but we all hope that its free.

Both client in my honest opinion has a good UI but I sorta like how Tweetdeck looks but still touiteur has a sleek design too. It is just that Tweetdeck ‘s UI seems to be out of the native android looks. UI designing can be casual or formal, when apps looks too close to how the OS UI looks like, it wouldn’t be so eye catchy in the end. In terms of UI, Tweetdeck has my vote.

Im not going to elaborate much longer on this. Once Tweetdeck escaped from beta and says hello to the market, I shall do a comparison again between these two.

Droid X Multi-touch Keyboard – Ported for Various

Its finally here with tactile feedback which previously did not work nicely. Now it does. Suitable for most type of android phone. Perhaps this is the best virtual keyboard for this period. It is quite accurate and comparable quality to the HTC IME keyboard mod by XDA. The Droid X sets the standard for how a virtual keyboard on Android should perform.

Android 2.1 Working Offline GPS Navigation for HTC Desire Nexus One etc

all the contents here have been moved to my new blog without the subdomain.. please go to http://override182.net for further support, issues or questions. I will be active replying there.. thanks

After trying all available options, ive finally found one solution of an offline GPS navigation that is working for my HTC Desire. Tested on mine, my friends desire and my friends motorola milestone and it is working. Guessing that it perhaps would also work on other Android 2.1 devices too and if its not working, do post it up and ill try to troubleshoot the issues.

The one we’re using here is Sygic GPS Navigation with Malaysia & Indonesia maps + audio + English UI! And note that this is an ehem2 version. :)
